Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - quote as sig

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

How do I use a quote from another member with a link to the original thread as my sig? I can't seem to figure it out! Help!
Go to the post you like. Hit "reply with quote". Delete the part of the post you don't want to use in your sig, but keep all the coding stuff it adds in the beginning and end of the quote.
Now, select all of it, and copy it to your clipboard. Now go to you User Control Panel, hit "edit signature" and paste it in the appropriate area. Save!
Example:
When I hit "reply with quote" to your original message, I got this (I had to add a space between the [ and the Q to make the code legible. You will not want to do this in real life):
[ QUOTE=bornagainst;6871408]How do I use a quote from another member with a link to the original thread as my sig? I can't seem to figure it out! Help!
If I only wanted to use the last 2 things, I would delete everything but this:
[ QUOTE=bornagainst;6871408]I can't seem to figure it out! Help!
The original
statement is what makes it a little box so we know it's a quote and by whom.
The result, when I remove the space between the [ and the Q, is this:
I can't seem to figure it out! Help!
