To make a long story short, a week and a half ago I had to get stitches. So I was forbidden from swimming for two weeks. Now, the doctor says I need more stitches, which I'm getting in half a week. Which would make for a whole month without swimming.
I have two triathlons in August - one on the 4th, with a half mile swim (I'm not too worried about drowning in this one since I'm already able to complete the distance and I never cared about time), but the one at the end of august is a 3/4 mile swim, and my first one that requires a wetsuit.
Would one month be too short of a time to get myself back into swimming shape to finish 3/4 of a mile? And perhaps a better question; does anyone know of any great waterproof bandages that would make it so I could swim with stitches?
