Ok....I have a charity ride tomorrow.
While I had my commuter (Hardrock) in the shop for work on the BB, I started riding my late 80's LeTour (just replaced the rear der & put on new tires).
When I got the Hardrock back...it just seemed sluggish compared to the LeTour.
Should I go ahead with the Hardrock, that I've ridden for distance before?
OR
Live dangerously and try the lighter-faster LeTour, and go for distance while I have roving mech assistance on the route? (hopefully the seat won't turn into an ass hatchet before I go my 35-45 miles / the seat on the Hardrock starts getting uncomfortable around the 20-25 mile mark)

What would YOU choose?

On longer rides, I'd always chose the familiar. Heck, I have almost 500 miles on my Surly now, but I'm not going to do a long ride on it yet.
