I am really bummed - it's Sat. & I did not ride today.
Last Wed I rented some equipment to assist in staining my house (the high work). My ride buddy called last night and said he and his wife were going out for a spin at 8:00AM - I really missed this. Unfortunately I needed to get the work done while I had the equipment. I worked from 7:00AM until 4:00 PM until the thunder storms came through. I think I can get through it tomorrow but I really need to get some miles in, maybe a late evening hill climb will be in order - that is after I do my chores. Yuk - I hate being a responsible adult, maybe I should volunteer to be a mod...

Hey, now, don't feel so alone; I didn't ride either
But that's 'cause I had a gig.
And there was a bike race going on right outside the window. Grrrrrr

I could start a new thread on why.
Let's just say I've lost my faith in (at least the one closest to my house)LBS.
The Moto is now home still not set up,
The Paramount is now home and I rebuilt the LBS damaged rear wheel (yes, using their parts..which yes, were free)but not in time to ride.
The vintage signature may well be the 3rd bike comming home from a LBS uncompleted
The only one that was up and running was the 34pound City bike
This mornings ride was a training ride...nuff said.

I never get sick. But I was recovering from a sore throat/cough. I rode with the club yesterday. An easy 45 miles that did me in. I didn't ride today, either.

I didn't ride Saturday either. But I did spend time at the LBS!

Rode 6 out of 7 days before Saturday though. Mostly 50 milers.

It was a good week for me.

Didn't manage to get a ride in either. Too much on the agenda, thought we might ride last night, but our neighbor, who works out of state was in (his family still lives here, and he commutes on some weekends to be home), so we visited next door, and was time to turn in before we realized how late it had gotten. It was time well spent though, we are good friends with the neighbors and don't get to visit and bs nearly enough. Will get a ride (or two) in today though!!

I rode unexpectedly. My daughter needed bamboo skewers for a party she was hosting. Couldn't stand the idea of milling around the parking lot for fifteen minutes, looking for a space, so off I went on the bike. The party was a success.

I got my revenge today though. We had a lot of rain last night so my plan was to get up early and ride while things dried out and I could get back on my house painting project. When I got up the roads were still wet so I decided to cut the grass instead. Then back to painting, I thought I was not going to get out again but 4:00 came and I made really great progress and besides - it is fathers day. Out for a 30 mile ride to the training hills - the stuckin feep mothers. I was tired from working in the sun all day - up and down ladders and hanging on the roof but I turned in a respectable average speed and got a few 1,000 in verticle. Came home, had dinner and cleaned up outside. The worst of the project is just about over - yippee. I suspect I will be done with the work which requires I get on the roof this week, the rest is some simple ladder work, I still have a couple more rotted window sills to replace (fabricate and install) and then that will be done and hopefully won't have to consider it again until I am in the 60+ forum.
