I sold my car to my Dad and I am now carfree! I'm moving to New York city, so it's not as if not having a car is anything freakish, but hey. Count me in!

Are you planning on biking in NYC? I've never been there myself, but it's my understanding that it's a great place to bicycle if you're not a wuss.

Oh of course I plan on riding my bike. I wish I had it right now! Hopefully I will be able to bike to work and not worry about it getting stolen. Or I could just get another beater bike for commuting.

I'd strongly encourage you to start a thread in the Northeast regional forum about NYC anti-theft tips. There's a lot of collective knowledge there. Might as well not reinvent the wheel - or replace it after being stolen. :eek:
