Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have a 48V 500W skyhawk front wheel hub motor kit. In another topic 'power interruption question' which I posted in this forum it was suggested that I replace my controller. Can anyone identify and/or suggest a better replacement for this controller. Also recommend where to purchase this replacement. I would like to purchase from a Canadian source so I don't have to worry about the import fees and hopefully the delivery will be quick since this controller only lasted three weeks with minimal useage. The controller has the following information printed on it:
Brushless Controller
Voltage: 48V
Negative Voltage Protection: 42V
Throttle grip: 1 - 4.2V
Brake: Low
Production Number HY060320
Email: hysunhuadi@163.com

I would check with www.itselectric.ca (http://www.itselectric.ca), part of Power In Motion in Calgary Alberta. I have started dealing with them about a month ago with a new kit for my bike. I have a little problem and they are doing their best to resolve it, even though I am 800 km away from them. You can either email ken@powerinmotion.ca, or info@powerinmotion.ca. They are usually very busy, and it can take 2 to 5 days for a reply, but they do reply.
