Let me give yall a short run down about me. I started losing weight when i was about 18 and now im 20..I weighed 340lbs and im down 252lbs. My question is am i going to have alot of excess skin like you see with obesse people? I wouldnt say i was obesse back then. I played football and baseball. I was just really big and now im looking to get back down to a health weight, 210-220. Also will the stretch marks dissappear?...I would go to the doctor and ask these questions but you guys are much cheap :D

Regards to the skin issue I wouldn't know personally but I think it only occurs when wait is lost rapidly such as a stomach staple operation. Through diet and exercise I think excess skin is toned while body fat is trimmed.
Secondly for the strech marks I don't know. I have some now and am still trying to loose weight. I was once in a extremely bad car accident so people believe they are just scars from the accident.
Come to think of it maybe the accident wasn't so bad. If not for the accident I probably wouldn't have lost my license and wouldn't have picked up biking. Good things come from strange places :)

I would think that stretch marks would close as your body slims back down...but i dunno
I have heard about the excess skin problem. I have a friend who is a plastic surgeon and he removes excess skin every now and then from people who have lost a whole bunch of weight.
But skin is pretty elastic, you know stretchy. On us older people, the skin lose more and elasticity and we get..... wrinkles! At your age, I would think excess skin would either not be a problem or just a minor one. It also depends on how vain you are or if you take up something like body building or nude modelling where having nice taut skin is absolutely essential.
I am older then you are and when I lose weight, I don't seem to have a problem with excess skin. But then again I am not losing a huge amount and I am not all that horribly picky and I have decided to spare the world by avoiding nude modelling.
Now for stretch marks. I know some people who have them from being pregnant and things like that. Those do not seem to go away. But I am not an expert on that one.

Use Palmers Cocoa Butter cream!!! My missus swears by it as the best moisturiser their is, all her friends who have had babies have used it on their bellies whilst pregnant to avoid stretch marks!!

I know several people who have lost a lot of weight. You do not loose your stretch marks, but they will fade. My brother lost over 100 pounds over a 3 year period. His skin would get quite baggy, but then after a a few months of stablizing he would look okay. It is best to loose weight slowly. I went to a cosmetic surgeon, and he explained to me that after age 40, your skin is not so elastic. You are young, your chances of a great looking body after weight loss are pretty high. Good luck.

There are a lot of strange genetics to stretch marks and loose skin. I lost 100 lbs quickly and had stretch marks. They are still there, but are fading rapidly.
Loose skin has some differing schools of thought. First of all, it may be that the skin is loose and needs time to suck itself back in. The second school of thought is that there is still fat to be lost, but it has been broken up and lost it's own support layer of fat. Eventually, it will return to the normal size.
I just went in to get my pants and suit taken it at the seamstress. She told me I can't loose anymore or I will need a new suit.
I believe this is a case where the turtle wins the race.If you lose weight at a slow sustainable pace taking time for your body to adjust to the new weight levels at the inevitable plateaus before moving on you should have much less of a problem as compared to rapid weight loss where your body has little time to adjust.However since this concept is a tough sell in an inpatient society most weight loss plans market the rapid weight loss approach.
