nice ride today

I went out for my first real ride today since getting my bike. I was pretty happy with myself. It was only about 11 miles but it wasn't a bad start. I averaged 11 mph (hey I'm fat) but got up to 18 under my own power at one point. It was about 90 degrees out and that was a factor too.

So I'm on on this bike path, and I hear "on your left" and this guy passes me. He was old enough to be my dad, and riding a very old and very rusty single speed cruiser. The kind with the fake gas tank. I've got a long way to go. :roflmao2:

Lazy weekend around here, I think, but good work! Keep up with it, the speed will come in due time.

11 miles on your first ride is nothing to sneeze at. My first ride was a few blocks around the neighborhood...I came home wasted. Your endurance will come if you consistently ride.
