My frame has a gyro set up. it was meant to run gyro. But I am not meant to run gyro, so i was wondering if there is any parts or way to run a single cable brake like found on most with my frame...
It has the gyro double hole'd thing near the middle of the top tube. and my friend was sure there were adapters or something to over come this.

I am sorry for lack of pic and horrible description. i will try to get pics. or find a way to diagram the problem.

Does it have a gyro lower cable, that goes from 2 cables to one?

some bikes have 2 normal lower cables.
these are difficult to replace with a single cable.
but are only used with a U brake.

If its got gyro upper and lower cables then you can just remove all the parts and fit a cable from lever to brake.
be best if you remove the gyro mechanism...it'll rattle about.
might need a spacer if you remove the upper cable stop plate

I beleive it goes one hole then there is a two holed thingy near the end of the top tube. **im not well versed in the parts yet**
but the two hole is too near the brake to run a slic cable and just have one brake line and lever. it wouldn't have enough to pull on the brakes.

Think Mongoose run the 2 cables.

Is a pain.

Gyro cables are about £7 each though.
