Southern California - Looking for weekday / weeknight riders in SF Valley

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

My riding friend had a change of schedule. I'm looking for individuals or groups interested in either:

Biking some evenings after 9:00pm - Possibly meeting at Balboa park or something like that, for a few laps.
Biking on weekday morning, usually Thursdays, for longer rides such as Topanga Canyon from the valley to the coast and back.

My schedule is a little unpredictable, but typically I'm free Thursday mornings, and most evenings by 9:00pm. On my evening rides I typically take the bikeway to Balboa Park for a few laps. But I'd consider other routes too, as long as they're not too unsafe after dark.

For my "day off" rides, I like to get going by 7:30 or 8:00, and put on at least 30 miles. Lately I've been pushing over Topanga Canyon.

I don't know where to find group rides that fit my unconventional schedule.

Thur mornings at 8:30am in burbank there is a ride that goes up chevy chase and through montrose and back down La Tuna canyon for about 35-40 miles. Barry wolfe ride. Has one that leaves tuesday morning too. Wednesday there's one that goes up the crest at 8:30 leaving from the shell station I think. Don't know of any in the evenings that late.

Thanks for the information. Do you have any info on where the Burbank Thursday AM ride meets up?

The Wednesday ride starts in Burbank too? Which Shell station?

How strenuous are these rides? I've gotten so that I can handle Topanga Canyon. I imagine Angeles Crest is worse than Topanga, right?
