Hi --

I used to live in Montreal and am taking a week's vacation with the bike in Ottawa, Montreal and Knowlton.

Can anyone recommend nice long rides in Knowlton and Ottawa? In Ottawa, we're staying at the Westin (my sister has a place in Kemptville). I know it's a bike town but was hoping for route recommendations in the 40-60 mile range.

If anyone wants to ride, I'm in Ottawa Sunday and in Knowlton the end of next week.

Thanks!:)

What kind of biking do you do? What type of bike do you have? We have a cottage near Knowlton and I will be there June 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, July 1. If you're there any of those days I can show you some nice rides. Not too long, but the hills will more than make up for it. Part of the Route Verte also passes near Knowlton:

Hi!

Bike is a cross bike (Kona JTS) currently set up 90% of the time with road wheels and 28s. Typically ride road and crushed stone paths. Short ride is 20-30 miles; long one is 60+ and I've done some self-supported centuries. I'm big (clyde) but can hold my own ok -- on my self-supported century I averaged 14.3 mph.

I'm in Knowlton 27-28. I'd love to meet up on the 28th and go for a ride if the styles / speed are close. If you're thinking more off-road, I can pack knobby tires as well. PM me if interested.

Thought I sent you a PM last week, but I did something wrong and it didn't get sent. Just sent one tonight.
