OK, so I was casually riding along on my way to school this morning, cruising leisurely down the main boulevard. All of the sudden I see these 2 stray dogs, one a larger small dog and the other one a medium sized large dog. The small one runs straight at me casing me to slow and swerve when the large one proceeded to give chase.... man that dog was fast! I was pedaling my little '01 Trek 820 as fast as I could down the hill (Thank goodness it was down hill, on flats when given too much power the frame flexes and much popping and jerking ensues), it finally backed off when it saw me starting to pull away.
I had always maintained a philosophy of not wearing myself out on bike commutes in case of an OH S*** situation but I never thought it would be against a couple of stray dogs.
Not that I was worried about getting mauled or anything I was just worried of the dog getting my foot at like 12-15 mph, that would not have been a fun crash.
