Hey

I have started riding out to my new job at a coal mine. It's about 15 km and it is a glorious ride. Not too hilly, just right.

What a way to start the day!

Would love to see pictures if ya can someday of some of teh views there...sounds very nice!! ;) I've always dreamed of going down under, but with my limited funds I can't quite afford to get there...well that is unless I took a raft or something as I'm not sure my Cannondale could make it crossing the Pacific Ocean!! ;)

Let me tell you it's really nice. Dairy cows and green fields. Not at all like the most of the Aust. continent.
The other morning on a ride I did I saw quite a few kangaroos and wallabies.

The area I live in is all about dairy, coal and vineyards.

I will post some pictures.

WOW! I have ridden to coal mines too. Carbon County, Utah, the Wilberg mine during their great disaster. I had night shift and borrowed one of the underground belt lights. Five mile grind up hill and a screaming downhill on an empty road. I was tech support for the recovery teams.
