Bicycle Mechanics - Mechanical genius seeks drop-bolts

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay. Bicycles are simple. You buy the most expensive one you can afford, then upgrade the bits, right?
I got me some Ultegra calipers for my 20" folder. Didn't figure their drop would be too short by about 1cm. Brake pads are just above the rims onto the sidewalls.
So, I can either go without Ultegras, or find some 'drop bolts'. . Nobody sells them anymore, do they?

I@m pleading for a couple, otherwise I'll have to do a Sheldon and make my own. Do you have a couple in your cellar someplace? I'm in the UK, and can afford to pay shipping on my Lear-Jet, plus a few beer-vouchers, or maybe plain old DHL.
They are for this creature..

Nope.
Buy the most expensive you can afford, then buy spare parts until you can afford something better.

Forget drop bolts. Tektro dual pivots are available up to 69mm of reach. Buy those. Unless you want an expensive and inferior solution.

Forget drop bolts.
+1.....Use calipers that have the reach you need. It's a much better solution.
