I have the chance to buy a couple of used back roller classic, buy used is good for environment i thought as discussed earlier.
It seems like a good deal because the person that sell them says that they are very very little used. It has been used to carry books in.
So my question is:
They are 2,5 years..has it been any development on this the last 2,5 year?
Shold i be sceptic because it has been used to carry books in?, books are heavy and sharp.
Is it any parts that belongs to them that i need to be sure the person send me?

No, they haven't changed much in 2 years. That's why they are called the 'Classic'. I have a set that I bought in 2003 and a set that I bought in 2005 and they are still the same as the ones sold today.
The bags are pretty simple and about the only thing that could be missing is the shoulder strap...which are kind of useless anyway. And Ortlieb sells spare parts.

The only difference in the ones they are selling today is an internal pocket. It's nice to have the internal pocket to throw some tools in so that they are easily accessible and you don't have to dig around the bottom of the bag. I use the shoulder strap fairly often, and i thought that the shoulder strap was pretty essential in making the bag waterproof, but i could be wrong.

IŽd just look it over reeeeel good for any holes in the bottom of the bag, maybe even throw some water Inside and swash it around to see if it leaks. Other than that make sure the hooks open and close easily when you move the little strap and youŽre good to go! Ortliebs are very much what-you-see-is-what-you-get so if itŽs dirty or scraped but still solid, youŽll be good. And yeah, the shoulder strap is an important part of it, but easy to replace (but probably not as cheep as youŽd like) or just go to a camping gear store and buy the buckles and webbing to make it yourself. Enjoy!

Look for really small holes
My bike packer plus ones had so many that water would leak through
Wouldn't soak anything inside, but was enough to make it more than moist
Needless to say I returned them to REI after four months of use :D
I used mine daily for a year, weekly for a year, and on and off for three. They still look great, don't leak when filled (except for one small hole I would repair if it weren't in the part you roll up). Granted I didn't tour, but a year in the rains of Germany, at least 20 miles a day is a pretty tough test...
I won't buy any thing else now.
