My little guy who will be three this month, always throws a fit when I take off of the evenings to ride. I received an Instep trailer as my Father's Day gift. When I was assembling it on Sunday, all he would say was 'I get to ride with Daddy now!'. Sunday evening after I made sure everything was OK, we went to the park and got hitched up and strapped in. I toted him around for a bit over three miles on the safer streets of the next town. Every time we'd pass someone on the street he'd tell them 'I'm riding with Daddy!'.

Today, we went back for more. About two miles into the ride, I hear nothing out of him. Glancing back, I see his head bobbing and asked if he was OK. His reply was 'I'm just chillin' out, riding with Dad'. We get back to the car...

Cute. My daughter fell asleep in the trailer last time I took her grocery shopping.

Love the helmet choice as well for your son, color coordinated, or just happened that way?

It just happened that way. He is a Cars fanatic and he wasn't going to be satisfied with any other helmet after he seen that one.

That wasn't a very good choice for hydration, but the only store we passed along the way was a liquor store slash tobacco store slash gambling parlor- the choice was beer, soft drinks, and Bug Juice passed through a drive through window(dad wanted beer but resisted the urge):lol:

Awesome. I've thoroughly enjoyed our InStep since my son was 1 year old. (now 3) I do have one tip for bumpy rides - place a 4" foam pad, cut to size, under the seat from the back. I haven't heard him complain about any bumps since I added the pad.

The difference between a dad and a mom with son. I tell my son suck it up its only pain. of course if it my daughter she would get the pad. I know i know i ust cant help it.
