I bought a Merckx Fuga frame on Ebay and stripped my old C dale Caad3 of it's Dura Ace 7700 to put on it.I bought the Cannondale at Jax 10yrs. ago, BTW. The ergo shifters were not working right so after a few hours of trying I took it to Jax in Long Beach. The head mechanic told me they were unfixable and said I should get the new model. Not wanting to spend 5 hundy on new levers I began to walk out the door. One of the salesmen said "cool bike" and I told him the problem. He said the return spring probably wasn't seated right. I went home and after about 5 tries I fixed it and it works great.
What a joke Jax bike shop is In my book! If they almost took me I can just imagine what they do too the general cyclist!!! Shameful! At least the salesman had some ethics. Even if it was on accident!!
I wrote Jax and of course got nothing in return. Jax Sucks!!
