55 years young today. If I would have known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself. Don't know who coined that phrase but oh so true. Stopped smoking a number of years ago but had and still do have a love affair with food. Its a constant battle to keep eating right but oh well I gotta do it.
Mickey Mantle used those exact words before he died, not sure if he was the first.
Happy Birthday.

The jazz pianist Eubie Blake has, at least by some, been credited with saying, "If I knew I was going to live this long...." BTW, he lived to be 100 and had a few other noteworthy quotes:

On the food stakes- To be able to ride- you have to eat. The more exercise- the more you have to eat.
Gives you an excuse to have double PIE on the rides- but the Extra milage to work it back off again can be hard.

Great - but did you do the "ride your age" ride - a 50+ tradition. Extra credit given if you stop for pie. Must be accompanied by pictures for proof. We will give you a few days in case you were not aware of the tradition.

Hapy Birthday. If 55 is the double nickel, then, I guess, 66 is "The Mark of the Beast!"
