Work is very slow, so I went to my favorite trail and it was great! Lots of singletrack.

I lived down there with my ex-wife. She had a 23 year old cat, and when the cat died, she had her cremated, and we scattered the ashes near that white spot (quarry)on the top of that mountain. It's 7500 feet there.

Great pictures!

Those trails look like something I would enjoy. I simply have to find someplace nearby to ride my mountain bike. The new mountain bike park in our area is just a little too technical for me. I hated all those switchbacks, steep climbs out of creeks and other obstacles:(

This area is about 100 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.

Yes, it's very dry. Southern California is in another drought.

Yes, Beverly, people who don't like technical do enjoy this trail. There are a few spots where some walk a couple steps, and there are some steeps, but the problem for many is the altitude. It just makes me a little sleepy.
It was close to 100 degrees at home, and probably 70 on top of that mountain.

I was trying to be somewhat discreet, George. We should plan a Saturday ride there this summer. There is talk of that on that other forum.

If you're talking about the end of the road where they set up all those telescopes, it's now a ski patrol station. It's 8300 feet there, supposed to be the best place around to look at the night sky. Some of those guys have telescopes as big as a van.
