Bicycle Mechanics - Will these springs fit my fork?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have a 2000(I think) Schwinn Moab 2 with the stock Judy SL fork. It has always creaked on me and been extremely soft. I am 195-205lbs. Depends on if I've shed my winter coat or not. I think a spring change will help with rideability.
You might have more luck on the MTB forum.

Seems like yours is a 2001...? http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2001&Brand=Schwinn&Model=Moab%202&Type=bike
The 2000 had a Manitou fork...
I don't see how those springs would work with a 100mm fork...assuming bikepedia is correct...

100mm fork hmm.. Maybe I'll wait until I can upgrade to a new bike, throw a rigid on this moab and use it for commuting.
