Texas - Anyone ever done the Tour das Hugel?

Basically it's a century+ around Austin with the route being such that you hit all the biggest hills. They say something like 14,000 ft of climbing. So has anyone here ever done it? I'm guessing it's something you seriously have to train and be in great shape for, not something you can push through and finish w/o training like the MS-150. What were your thoughts?

Ravenmore has done it the last two years. I thought I recall seeing his write-up on it but didn't find anything on the search. Nobody calls you a wuss when you show up with a triple on the front and 15-32 on the rear! I would not attempt without serious training...which I'm not doing these days...and even then I'd think twice about it.
