When they start so early, what do you do to warm up?

Get there even earlier and do what I'd normally do to warm up?

Seriously, if the tri starts at 7am, just make sure you're there by 5 or 5:30, which will allow you plenty of time to do a nice warmup and get into the swing of things.

i dont know my warm-ups are pretty fast. i think my definition of a warm-up is different from you guys. For em a warm-up is gettin my heart rate up, which takes 2 minutes or more of jogging or swim, bike etc. then a really good stretch after that, then keeping my body loose and warm till start time. If im not super confident in technique of something i will practice it for a couple minutes before the race starts, swim stroke, run technique etc. for me the most important part is gettin my head right, going through the hard scenerios of what will be happening, kind of a mind run through of the race, like if i know theres a good sized hill i picture goin up it and the pain of my legs and just pushing through it etc. i dont know heh.

Nopinkbikes,

Sorry, no good advice here. I'm 58 and the early morning stuff is incredibly difficult for me. I usually run a quarter mile and ride the bike a bit. BUT, I always swim a couple of hundred yards. At least the swim goes OK.

By the way, my Merckx MX-Leader is Team Telekom black and PINK!

for me, I have coffee and a light breakfast, then try to get there an hour before the start. I'll get my transition set up, get my wetsuit on .5 hour before my heat, and head down to the water. I'll jog easy up and down the beach a few times, then into the water to get used to the temp, and swim for five minutes or so. Then it's just a matter of keeping warm by running in place, swinging my arms, etc.
