I got the check from the insurance man and plan on adding a new (or slightly used) roadbike to my arsenal. Currently, I have 6 road machines, all old ('77-"88) and all lugged steel.

The owner of my LBS has his Felt 35R up for sale and I'm thinking about giving it a ride to see if it'll be the bike. I need to be officially fit, of course, but this should be pretty much the right size.

I'm guessing it has less than 1,000 miles on it and he's asking $1,300.

I guess my questions are: What should this be selling for? Is $1,300 (I bet I can get it a little cheaper) a decent price or should I wait and buy a new model year with carbon stays?

What do you guys think?

It's a 2003.

I haven't ridden it yet but the standover height is right. I haven't checked the reach, etc. I will obviously make sure the fit is right before I plunk down a bunch of $$ on any bike.

Supposedly the orig price is $1,800...but I'm not positive of this.

Maybe they will throw in some pedals to get the sell if it fits.

Yes that is a very good deal. It comes with Durace drivetrain and a FSA carbon crank. Pretty too. Let us know if you get it.
