I just saw that their latest edition has a short review of the Edelux. Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription...does anyone here? Maybe just a short wrap-up would be nice. :thumb:

The short story:
- same reflector as the IQ fly lights, and similar electronics
- more desirable design than the IQ fly
- more greenish light at low speeds, supposedly better adapted to the human night vision
- scratch-resistant glass with 6% better transparency than plastic
- robust and waterproof
- exceptional light output
- "auto" mode works very well
- less spill light than other lights, somewhat less "be seen" factor from the sides and front
- lacks a built-in reflector
- hard to get (currently 27 weeks waiting list)

There's a huge waiting list in the USA, but I've seen these lights listed for EUR$118 (~USD$190) on German and Belgian webstores.
Does anyone know if there's a wait in Europe as well, or can you order one on a Belgian site and have it shipped to the states?
You'll have to wait.
I ordered mine from a German shop 8 weeks ago.
They said 4 weeks waiting and keep sending me updates about delivery times.
Schmidt haven't been able to deliver to most shops yet or only
delivered a few to them.

Gotcha. It's a wait any way I look at it.
While I really like the idea of the cutoff optics on the Edelux, I'm not keen on having to wait a few months for a light. It's been a toss up between the Supernova E3 and the Edelux, and I think the decision has been made...
My LBS has the E3 in stock.
