Hello All,

I need to get fairly regularly from downtown Long Beach area to downtown Fullerton. I can think of several routes, through Seal Beach blvd to Katella, PCH to SART (I think this is unnecessarily long) or to Seal Beach and SGRT. Any advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I see SGRT is closed during weekdays, which is when I need to ride.

On bikely.com I found a good route between the JAX bike shop in Fullerton and the Jax in the Long Beach area. From the LB direction they'd recommend going to the San Gabriel River Trail, go to the right-hand or East split in the trail exit right on Orangethorpe, left on Stanton, and right on Commonwealth. That takes you on through Fullerton.

edit: Oops, just saw your edit. When I lived in Fountain Grove I used Westminster for a lot of east-west riding and Euclid for North-south. I could almost always beat the buses even if they would take bikes.

The net says LA and others are working on the trail. There may be useful parts that are still open.
