Hi there. I am looking at kid/bike trailers to do some shopping with. How do you attach them to an Ezip? Most of the ones I see online have a bar that looks like it attaches to the left side of the rear tire. However, that is where the Currie motor is. Can you enlighten me on how this is done or does it need to be modified?

Thanks CK

CKnDave,

If your motor is like this:

then you will need to drill some holes in that bracket (or fab a new one) to move it up like this:

WJChris: Does not look like I could do that. I do not think my husband would be willing to tackle that either unless it is super easy. Can you modify the cart to attach to the battery rear frame instead?, velcro the heck out of it?? Modify the bar of the trailer?

CK, I have a 2008 eZip Trailez and a kid trailer from Nashbar (our sponser), had them a couple of months now. They work fine together. The trailer tow bar attaches to the chain stay on the left side like the motor. But it attaches in front of the wheel axle, the motor is behind the wheel axle. The tow bar comes from the front left corner of the trailer, goes straight forward a ways then curves in to reach the chain stay. All's well. You just have to be careful of the wires when mounting the clamp.
