Hello!
I'm currently in the early stages of designing a new folding bike. I'm working for a car company looking to branch into other things and it's going to be made in a revolutionary new type of carbon fibre. I need to get some views and opinions about how people use their folding bikes and any problems they face. If you have 5 minutes could you please fill in my little survey? I'll be eternally grateful!
Here's the link:

Thanks very much,

"how people use their folding bikes and any problems they face."
I think many of us have problems affording anything made from carbon fibre with the name of a car company on the side... :-)
Me:
A) Weight - less is usually better for a folder, because people often carry them.
B) Friction - less is better, of course - so decent spec components
C) Affordability - in inverse proportion to the above, unfortunately.
If you just concentrate on reversing C), you'll make a million.

The link failed for me too.
If you can convert CO2 into a folding carbon fiber bike, I would buy one!

Looks like its mainly for UK riders. "maximum amount you'd pay for a folder" is in pounds.

I completed the survey.
I'd say key factors for me in an ideal folding bike would be:
1) weight--the lighter the better
2) compactness--the more compact when folded, the better
3) ease of folding--the quicker the better
4) robustness--able to ride comfortably for 20-100 miles with decent gearing options (7+ speeds)
5) cleanliness--protects rider's clothing through features such as fenders (mud guards), internal hub, and shaft drive or fully enclosed chain
6) affordability--would like to pay less than $600 though would consider more if it were truly amazing

Ta for the link. I'm sure you can do the currency math(s) and join in! :)
