 Yea right.
I picked up a new Poprad on Monday and she's a sweet ride. The fact that it won't be produced next year only makes it more appealing in my eyes.

very nice bike:)
it's a shame that they will not be made next year, but i do agree that it does make the bikes more appealing, they will become more rare.

That's a lot of white for a mud machine :)
What? Not produced?
Someone explain to me, please.

Dude, Mine is in the mail ;) Should be in the LBS next week. There were only 11 size 59's left. Of course the first thing I am going to do on mine is strip all the components off and convert it to my 1 x 8 set up with a bar con. The OX Platinum is going to ride great!
BTW I hear on the rumour mill that Lemond will go out on his own, we'll see.

Excellent; but, I'd do a double-wrap handlebar taping with black tape (maybe a 28 in the front, some racks. Look pedals ...).

I just got mine in and have her set up for the road. I can't believe how nice this bike rides on the road. There's something about that just makes it ride like a dream, geometry maybe? The OX Platinum? I don't know.
Can't wait to try her out on the cross courses.

How's that Bontrager fork? I just bought one to put on my '05 Poprad, which is also white (but with the blue LeMond decals). I'll post pics once I get the fork installed. My only concern is that the legs sure do taper down to some pretty thin tubes toward the axle.
But regardless, love the bike.

They do taper down quite a bit. The best fork I ever races on was a steel road fork made back in the days of yore. The reason why it was so great was because it was delicate and springy and absorbed a lot of shock. Mind you it was totally safe. This Bonti fork flexes in a similar manor which IMO is a good thing. I don't like stiff for cross hence why I like this OX Platnium frame. So yeah it did look sketchy to me too but it rides nicely. I don't have any other experience with high quality carbon forks but I've race AL - to stiff, cheap steel - too stiff and heavy, and nice steel which was excellent.
The '05 was AL right? I think you will notice a difference.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, the '05 came with an aluminum fork. I have found it to be ok, but there have been many on these forums who have really disliked it. I set out to find a carbon replacement and considered the Reynolds and the Alpha Q, but it turns out only the Bontrager is the same geometry, so I went with that. Just waiting for my new brakes to show up, and then I'll get it installed. Very excited.

That's a nice bike. I prefer the look of cantis over discs. Very traditional and tasteful.
