I am sooo glad to have found you guys. The knowledge and experiences that are shared here are so helpful and inspiring.

The summer before I got my driver's license I begged my parents for a bike (10 speeds were the big things back then). They figured it would be a waste of money, cuz as soon as I could drive I'd never touch the bike. Got a summer job, saved my money, and bought a bike. Well, now it's 30 years later and I'm still riding (different bike though). :)

I commute year round and it is just so much fun when I'm hauling my bike up the stairs, face covered in frost and the kids exclaim, "That's the librarian!" (hence my handle)

I figure it's a good thing if you stretch and encourage someone else. That sure happens here!

"So what are you riding now?"

Just a CCM mountain bike. It works great for me and I have learned that to be happy in life it is wisest to be content with what I have. Don't know what I'm missing cuz I haven't ridden anything better.

As much as I love cycling, I love my kids more and the money goes their way right now. Someday it'll be my turn and I'm having fun in the meantime.
