Is it just me, or has the site (once again) become pathetically slow?

Seems like the site has times where it's pretty slow to respond/load a page. But it's mostly pretty good.

fat pipes cost big bucks... overall, service is better than it has been, but i wonder if the 'new drive' mentioned in the recent admin message helped with page serving?
