This is not a bike fit question...
I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the most comfortable shifters for riding on the brake hoods. I know that the 2004 Dura Ace is claimed to have much improved ergonomics for riders using the hoods. What about Campy?
Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

Did know there was that much difference.
Hi,
I put strips of foam on the bar (and under the tape) to lessen the valley where the hoods meet the bar. Works for me. It's still a depression, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

Just reading some bike fitting stuff and some say you should be able to take your hands off your bars in the riding position without falling forward.

when i was shopping for a new road bike last year i found the hoods on the 2003 dura ace to be more comfortable than the campag
i much preferred the shifting mechanism of the campag over the dura ace
i ended up putting campag chorus on my new bike
