First, check your rear quick release, or if your rear wheel uses nuts, check them. Make sure that they are tight. (Once, I removed the cranks 3 times in one attempt to quiet the creak caused by a loose rear skewer!!)
Check your rear spokes, is one broken?
If thats not it, see if your crank arms are loose, stand your bike up, level the peddles ans push, rotate your cranks 180 degrees, and push down again, did the click happen, repeat, listen for the click, if it keeps happening and you feel that your cranks are loose, check what the torque spec is for your setup and check if it is tight as it should be. be careful, you dont want to waste a crank by over tightening it, I use a torque wrench, for this, any thing that costs more than a torque wrench, is worth being careful with.
If not, it could be in your BB, Is your BB a cartridge? or is it a spindle / cups and cones? If its a cartridge, do you have a crank puller and a BB tool? if you do or have access to them remove your cranks, and make sure your BB is torqued up to spec.
If it is, and you feel play coming from there, looks like you need a new BB.
Good luck.
