My wife is getting into biking and wanting me to take my Trek off its hooks in the garage. I am wondering if they make any large / sturdy trailers that I could transport my 150 lb St Bernard along with me? She is such a cutie and loves going places with us. I just wondered if they made anything sturdy enough that I could try her in to see if she would like riding with us. All of the trailers I have pulled up so far indicate a 100 lb limit. My wife just laughs at me when I mention it. Thought maybe someone may have an idea.

Bikes at Work Trailers go up to 300 lbs.

Cycletote (http://www.cycletote.com/specs.html) makes special needs trailers (http://www.cycletote.com/special_needs.html) that I believe could be made into one of their doggy trailer (http://www.cycletote.com/doggy_tote.html) configurations. They are a small shop and easy to get on the phone to figure out what they can do.

Hardy's is a good option if you can roll your own box to the frame. My guess is the one st0ut linked to would be too small for your StB.

You're going to need something custom.

Even without the weight limit, all the trailers on the market are too small. I've considered building something for my Newf, but haven't gotten around to it since she's still scared of cars.

Are you sure your dog would even like it? I put mine (70 pounds) in my trailer and he bolted once the trailer moved.
