Hi all. I wonder if anyone can help me? I swap my computer from bike to bike & reset the diameter change, but the last time i forgot to do so. Not a big problem but i have a diary where i record all the data time,distance ave speed etc, & i would like to have all the info. Can anyone tell me the formula for working out the average speed if i know the distance & time taken? Thanks in advance.

average speed = (total distance) / (total time)
so if you went 14 miles in 2 hours, your ave speed will be 7 mph

Ahh... I love the Cheater's Triangle (see attached pic):
D = Distance
R = Rate
T = Time
Cover up which ever unit you are looking for. Then do the corresponding operation. If you are looking for the rate, cover up 'R' and put D over T, making it a fraction where you divide the top number by the bottom number. If you were looking for the ditance, cover up 'D' and multiply R by T. If you were looking for the time, cover up 'T' and divide D by R. Hope that made sense.
