In the name of pushing Bellingham residents to develop a cycling scene akin to Portland's, I've managed to put some bikes on display at Boundary Bay Brewery as the "artist in residence" of sorts. I've been on display for a few weeks and am up through this weekend but, I was writing more to encourage people to leave notes/messages for the manager encouraging cycling related art in the future. The manager's name is Janet and she rides and encouraging more riding-centric displays can only help the scene in the long run...pass it on.

It seems like we never got a significant melt of the snowpack at all this year. Made for great skiing but I can't wait for 542 to open up. I was up there last weekend and the bathrooms up at artists point are completely buried. On a positive note they have run a bulldozer up there and should break out the giant snowblower soon.

BB is that much more awesome. I'm going to have to visit once my paycheck comes in. I'll definitely leave them a note about the bikes.

That was April of this year. There was just so much snow this year I can't imagine what it must have looked like in 98-99. I walked up to artist's point yesterday and there was no sign of the bathroom up there. It's buried and will be a late year for opening the road.
