Foo - Anyone have any good New Year's resolutions?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

As for me, I resolve to mind my own business and ride twice as much as I did in 2003.

1: Become debt free.
2: Ride 7500 miles on the bike
3: Do a two week unsupported tour of Southern Utah.

Get my almost 58 year old bones in shape to do a century before the end of September. Cracked the metric century this year, and need the big one.

One would think that averaging over 100 miles per week in mainly hilly back roads would work, but I guess only 19 months of cycling is not enough to over come nearly a decade of doing next to nothing.

Losing 15 pounds so the climbs during this year's RAGBRAI will seem smaller. :D

I resolve:

Not to be on the cranky list next year.

I will do something (about my points of view) instead of argueing about it on the internet.

Not roll my jeep again.

Be at peace with my self, and with others.

Re-commit to the good dining habits I've let slide over the last year. (No seconds!)

Improve my gym-training ethic!

Ride my bikes every chance I get. Heck, ride to the gym!

Recycle my internet porn (I'll get to it! I will!)

Be nicer to people. (hardest one on here...well, except maybe the porn.)

Make a disciplined start on becoming debt-free.

Take more time to honor God and his/her/it's many facets.

Good grief. Wish me luck.

I did that a few years ago, too. Makes life far simpler! Added bonus is it works faster... I commit to resolutions when I convince myself they're a good idea, rather than waiting for Jan 1.
