Forgive me if this is the wrong forum site, but I've been looking at a 2001 Univega Modo Volare frameset in the 50cm size (my size), with the Thorn Columbus steel TIG-welded tubing, Sabre carbon fork, w/the stock Stelle Italia XO saddle & 1" threadless headset. Frame & fork have no dents, dings, or marks, just some paint chips under the bottom bracket. Looks like NOS, but has been used & stripped of its components at some point. Looking as a build up for a 'fast' steel-framed commuter bike--anyone familiar with the Columbus Thorn tubing strength, and if it a good deal for $100? Thanks!

Thron tubing is double butted chrome-moly of medium weight so its likely to be more than strong enough for 50 cm road frame. As for price, I'd say that its a very good deal with the fork.
