This is made of like 7 other bikes lol, it rides very nice though, I love the ride of it, all the gears and breaks work now, it does skids wonder if it would do stoppys lol but eventualy the back end will all be covered by thin alloy sheets, and extra cargo stuff added, i think I did well, no welds lol once it's a for sure thing all joints will be welded, it feels way diffornt from other bikes, I hit alot of stuff with the back end because I aint used to it, so here it is, it's even 21 speeds.

And yes, thats a Ikea bike, it was my work bike then I needed a frame to use and it was the lucky one to be picked, once it's welded it will be repainted, proberly post apocoliptic paintjob, if it is that then no alloy sheets, I think it looks cool

lol Thanks, I worked hard, even thought very hard how to piece this together, a grind here, cut there, I'm thinking metal small round bars going from back of seat area to back wheel, should look neat, if I hit someone with this, i'd cream there very good, it aint light lol

So did the IKEA bike come like that, or was it shipped to you as a couple metal tubes and some instructions? :D

I'm looking at doing an xtracycle build too. Could you add a pic or two of rear fork and mounting? A very interesting bike. :)

Basicly, a Suspention bike, I picked a Supercycle Hooligan bike, it was just about new but meh, anyway, the easyest way to make extracycle is with any suspention bike rear frame, remove the wheel off chosen bike and mount the suspention frame in where the wheel goes, and to brace it, I used handle bars from another bike lol , leave gear shifter on both bikes, use both chains, long wires needed, thats about it, fairly easy to do, I'm making another one to crash test, they are heavy bikes, well mine is and I wanna see what happens when it hits something lol, i'd post pic of what you requested but it's dark right now

Agree. I ride mine all the time. Do not know how I made it without (used my car I guess).

Mine is light, main bike is alu. Also has got an alu triangle lying around. Wanted to use it for lighter bike, but alot of work. Also alu means no "home welding" possible.

Actually my sons longtail that I made from a "mixte like" bike is strong and "steptrough". Makes it easy to get on and off with a heavy load.

First one is never perfect, so I am thinking of making a new one using the things I have learned so far. Changing to a steptrough frame is one of the things I want to change. Think they are not strong enough unless they`we got the extra "mixte" stay from seat tube to rear dropouts.

:thumb:Using both rear shifters looks sooo smart! Think we all struggle with the chain tension on the bikes. I`we seen a pic of a original "extra" with the rear shifter tied up with a strong elastic for extra strong "spring" effect.

Both shifters make it very good, this bike runs amazing, even with it's weight it picks up fast and goes fast I'm gonna make a smaller extra to lol for my little brother

This is what it is so far, theres bull horns sticking out the sides, I found today that they are great to hang bags off of lol
