I was curious if any other cyclists have ever had this problem and if anyone knew if it could be related to cycling?

I have been riding almost daily for 9 years and never had it before.

My first episode was last month when I started with severe pain and went to a urologist who diagnosed it. I went on antibiotics and got over it.

This morning the same pain returned but this time on the other side.

Anybody else ever experience this affliction?

I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but it burned like CRAZY while going to the b-room after a race this year.

Are you a mountain biker or road rider? You may have traumatic epididymitis which is usually found in the former but not exclusive to mountain bikers.

Remember, epididymitis is usually non-traumatic injury but rather caused by bacteria ; sometimes from sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea. It is also possible from prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate) or genito-urinary tract surgery especially when the prostate gland has been removed. Also, have you had a vasectomy? If it keeps reoccuring, let your urologist know. There may be something else going on and he may want to do some tests and it may or may not be related to biking.
