I'm still pretty new to all this and so far.. I've just been riding on the Alameda Creek Trail/Coyote Hills and just around town. Those are perfect.. pretty flat with small hills occasionally. Just looking for something new.

I just bought a bike rack so I can travel places with my bike.. but I'd prefer to keep it closer. I'm in Union City and I ride a fixed gear bike. One thing though, is I try to stay out of graveled roads.

Any suggestions for places around Union City, CA?

check out 511.org has bike maps for the whole bay area.

I would also search on bikely.com to see what routes people are making near you:

Personally, I really like Calaveras road over the hills down to sugoi.
It is really pretty with minimal traffic, but the hills might be too much
for a fixie.
