Don't get too close to the cake and all those candles and catch the kilt on fire. ;)
Have a great birthday.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Actually spent my birthday travelling down from Loch Ness, where we spent New Year in a cottage off the pass of Farigaig.

very peaceful. Just the two of us and the two dogs. No sign of Nessie though.

One advantage to to having a birthday close to Christmas and the New Year is that don't feel bad about shelling out on gifts to myself.

So far : set of 9sp Veloce ergo levers (small ads in Cycling +), Veloce rear mech and Chorus (one up from Veloce?) front mech, both from Ribble.

Also just got a set of 12/20w Lumicycle lights.
Not bad eh!

have to say the ergo levers are working fine on my current rear mech (Huret Duopar) with an 8sp rear and 8sp chain.

Fitting new mechs as soon as they arrive.

No chance. I will be switching my Campag D/t levers to the Scot so that I can rid myself of the ShimaNO ones on it at present. I'm also looking for an older Campag rear mech to replace the present 600 one on it.
