My blood pressure had been quite good until the last couple of weeks, where it started to spike to 155/90.

Couldn't figure out what was happening, so i did a fair amount of research in the internet, and came up with a couple of good studies relating increases in blood pressure to the intake of Ibuprofen and also a study relating to Ibu and acetaminophen.

I had been taking a significant amoutn of IBU for some pain. I stopped and, voila, my BP this morning was 107/67, and yesterday was great all day also.

Interesting. Never thought of this connection!

Just thought I would share. Hope it keeps down!

Thanks, I take ibuprofen often and my GP is confused at why my BP is high. I will mention this to him this week. Do you have any good links?
Regards,
Gordon

Also, you will find more studies with a google search. These two were enough to convinve to stop taking IBU and see what happened.

I have been taking it each morning 3 x's and recording on a spreadsheet which averages it. So far, it is right there at about 107/67.

I do take a diuretic and one pill called Diovan, also, due to past Hypertension.

45 minutes of trainer and/or treadmill daily where I walk and run.

Weight lifting 3 x's/week.

And I teach a 6th grade class!! :D which sometimes is a LOT of exercise.
