So I'm riding my usual 18 mile route which takes me through a park with soccer fields. I'm cruising at a leisurely 17 mph when all of a sudden I hear a noise in the grass at my left side- I look over expecting to see a dog coming at me, and instead there's this squirrel with a nut in it's mouth running as fast as it can right towards me-before I can react, the thing runs on the path, darts towards the center of my bike right under my pedals and exits on the right side-I didn't touch it- it was the weirdest thing I've seen in a while while on my bike-
Any other weird squirrel stories out there?

I have had it happen 2 times, a squirrel and a rabbit.

I posted recently about the same thing. I was a beautiful day, very nice ride. several miles into it a squirrel ran out not too far in front of me, realized I was there, kinda stopped looked at me, made some sort of gesture and ran back from where he came. pretty funny.
