My birthday was last month, but today was nearly perfect for a long ride around here. We are enjoying a respite from the hot dry weather earlier in the month and it gets light very early. I got up at 5:45 and hit the road before 7, heading to Chapel Hill on Hwy 54. Any other time this could be a suicide run, but Sunday mornings it is not a bad ride. Made a loop to the SW out of Chapel Hill along mostly rural roads and got home before noon after covering a bit over 65 miles. I have been doing some floor excises for the past 5 months and they seem to be helping my riding. Donating blood 9 days ago didn't seem to bother me either although it certainly did for the first few days.
