Looking for manufacturers of LWB/USS bents. Ran across Linear and Longbike. Are there others? Are Ryan Vanguard's still made?
The Ryan company was sold to what is now LONGBIKES.
I just bought a Longbikes Vanguard (2003 model) and I really
like it.I would recommend the currently made bike.It appears
to have a higher bottom bracket and more adjustable seat.

Excellent! Thanks for the info on the Ryan/Longbike connection. I'm looking at those in another browser window.
The new Longbike Slipstream looks VERY interesting. I assume it's very similar your Vanguard, yes?
(ETA - found an article that compares the Vanguard to the Slipstream.)

Partially correct. Greg Peek bought out Dick Ryan, then designed his own LWB bikes. In 1999/2000, Greg sold Ryan Recumbents back to Dick. It appears that Ryan is now out of business, but that does not mean that Longbikes owns the name.
Thanks for the info ! I knew the company changed hands however I was not
sure of the details of the transaction. The Longbikes Vanguard I have looks
about like the Ryan Vanguard. Not the fastest, but very nice comfortable ride.

I'm lovin' the Slipstream. I'll take one powdercoated in Team White Pearl, thank you!
Lightfoot Cycles. I have one of their Rangers and love it. I bought my son a World Traveler and he loves his bike also. Great customer service.

All of the Lightfoot models are OSS, but apparently they do offer USS as an option.
