The Michigander has added a road route this year, besides its traditional rails to trails route. I think I'm going to do the road route this time. Wonder who else is signed up?

I'm kind of curious, but a total newb to the Michigander.

I'd be interested in the 2 day road ride. Do you have to bring camping gear and such or is it a you and your bike light travel kit?

Bring camping gear... they haul it for you

It's a great ride... details here http://www.michigantrails.org/michigander/

I'll be interested to see your report on it. I was planning on doing my first Michigander this year, but had a change of schedule. I'll try again next year, but now I'll have to decide between trails and roads. It seems like a stretch for them to put together enough road mileage to be worthwhile (at least 60 a day), so I'd like to see how they manage to do the routes. A guy on a high-tech Madone would be done riding before noon if they make it too short. :)
