So some may remember last month where I had a basic meltdown over health and lack of progress on all sorts of fronts. So I thought I'd give a quick health update and just :):) a bit.
I passed my kidney stone finally (not as bad as I thought it would be). The doc says to decrease sodium overall, keep hydrated no matter what, take enough calcium but not too much of it, and drink cranberry juice or drinks with real lemon it. But other wise have a nice life.
I had my follow up to my colonoscapy last week - everything is "perfectly good." Doc says add more fiber to the diet, eat less spicy food (not what I want to hear), and stop eating things that are overly greasy. Otherwise he'll see me when I hit age 50.
As part of all the doctor's visits I got to have my BB, heart rate, and weight checked roughly every 2 weeks for 2 months. Pretty cool data set there too.
At the beginning of May my BB was 135/85 with a resting heart rate of 78, by the end of May it was 125/82 with a resting heart rate of 70. In two different doc visits within the last week My BB was 120/80 and resting heart rate down to 60. Plus the weight is starting to come off again as my miles are going up and I've been paying attention to the docs.
At the beginning of May I was still floating right around 221, By the end of May I was down to 219, at the doctor's office 2 weeks ago I was down to 217, and last Wednesday, when I had a life insurance physical I was floating right at 214. I have a wellness visit on the 30th s I'll be very interested to see where I land after this month.
Oh yeah, I'm over 1200 miles for the year with 8 more days left in the month (2000 is my goal for the year).
Anyway, wanted to share the joy!:D
