Mountain Biking - Help

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm running xt discs and am pretty new to hydros. I have no pressure in one of my brake levers. Theyve ran fine for about 3 months until now. I cant find any leaks and havent found any spilled oil.

Time to have it bled.

Do you perhaps need new pads?
I ask only because you did not mention if you check them or not.

Air bubble in the line which requires bleeding, or an adjustment to the pad to rotor gap.
This is one of the main reasons I like my AVID mechanical disc brakes. No hydraulics, just a plain ole cable and they are just as powerful as all the hydros (hayes, magura, cannondale) I have run in the past.

Yea my pads are good... I'm just gonna bleed them and see if it does the trick.

U either have air in the line or a leak. No other reasons apply... I have hydro's on 2 bikes myself....
