Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - What about an acyual buy/sell page?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I bet most everyone agrees that the BicycleBid site is useless. What about a buy/sell/trade forum where members can pass on/pick up parts and accessories from other board members?

Thats how I had things setup for the first three years. In October I was contacted by a lawyer, for the lack of a buy - sell user agreement. I guess common sense isn't good enough these days.

I'll have to talk to a lawyer before I bring back that forum.

THAT makes sense, thanks for the quick answer. I'll ask a lawyer friend of mine what that might entail. I would guess (from other sites I visit) that it's as simple as something in the rules about "Bikeforums" NOT being responsible, etc. etc.

I'd rather have someone here who wants it instead of the ebay hassles, ya know?

*nod* I just don't like getting registered letters in the mail saying comply or we will sue you. :)

As for BicycleBid, so far, it has been some what of a dud. I have some big plans for that, but haven't had the time to do much with it. Look for some major movement soon.

BicycleBid is "useless" only because the BikeForums members don't visit the site to see what is for sale.
I had five items for sale in early December and had one bid on one item.
Why not support Joe's "other" enterprises instead of running off to ebay all the time.
