Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Has any body done any indoor rowing to become a better bike rider.Just curious i done a bit of rowing on a concept2 and found cycling to be much much easier.I stopped doing it because i found it a bit boring and i found cycling much tougher since
I was rowing fairly regularly for about 6 weeks in January until the middle of February, in addition to my indoor cycling. I enjoyed it and it made for some variety.
Right now I don't think it would be a good idea for me, but hopefully I'll be able to get back into it (and/or weightlifting) again in the fall/winter.
I find that when my upper body and core are muscular I perch better on my saddle, last longer more comfortably, and climb better.
Here's a thread about rowing: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=382213
